API access
Enable access and manage Customer API keys.
Bookogsend must enable Customer API access. Your account must be active and use invoice billing. After enablement, account members manage keys in the customer dashboard. Access and keys are independent of Webshops; webshop keys cannot authenticate Customer API requests.
Create and copy a key
- Sign in to the customer dashboard for the intended environment. Open Indstillinger → API-nøgler (Settings → API keys).
- Select Opret API-nøgle (Create API key). Enter a name of up to 100 characters and choose at least one permission.
- Select Opret nøgle (Create key), then Kopiér API-nøgle (Copy API key). Save the secret before closing the dialog. The full key appears once.
The list shows masked keys, permissions, creation dates, and last-use dates. An account can have at most ten Customer API keys. Read and write permissions are independent.
Replace or revoke a key
To change permissions, create a replacement, update your integration, then revoke the old key. Existing keys have no permission-edit control. If all ten slots are used, revoke an unused key first.
To revoke a key, open its action menu, select Slet nøgle (Delete key), then confirm with Ja, slet nøglen (Yes, delete the key). Revocation is permanent and blocks new requests immediately. Disabling account API access also blocks new requests. Work already accepted for background processing can still finish.
If account status or billing becomes ineligible, API requests and key creation/deletion are blocked. The key list remains available while API access is enabled. Restoring eligibility makes retained keys usable again.
